Hug Your Customers and Employees

An interesting book to check out is "Hug Your Customers" by Jack Mitchell. It contains a very interesting way of looking at how to treat your customers (and employees) that is very aligned with the core values that we live at Kaizen Consulting.

It's the fascinating story of how a small clothing retailer with 2 stores - one in Westport Connecticut, population 28,000 and one in nearby Greenwich, population 60,000 has built a $65+ Million dollar a year business that probably is the highest gross clothing retailer per sq/ft in the world.

How? Like the title says they hug their customers. It's amazing how they've made their business fun, stuck to some core values and served a unique market. In return, they have high margins and unreal customer loyalty. I recommend this book. Highly.

So what are the top three things you do to make all your staff that you work with or who report to you, feel special?

Do you know your top 100 customers by name and can you name them without looking it up?

Safety Tip: Write 3 action steps that you'll take to improve in these areas.
