Rapid Business Growth
I’ve spent more than a decade helping entrepreneurs grow more lucrative businesses. Here’s what I know for a fact: it’s easier to double, triple or even quadruple the size of a small to medium business than it is grow it gradually at 15% a year.
Stop and think for a moment: what would your life be like if you had 2, 3 or 4 times the income you have right now? Now think about what your life would be like if you had significantly more time-off too? Next imagine you could achieve all this soon – perhaps in the next two to three years?
I bet you’ve heard the statistics that 80% of small businesses fail in the first 2 years. Did you also know that only 4% of businesses make it past 10 years?
That’s right. 96 out of 100 businesses fail to make it past 10 years. If that's not bad enough… 85% of companies will never reach $1 million and 95% of those will not grow to $5 million and 98% of those will not grow to $10 million.
My mission and my passion is change that.
Hi, Michael Walsh here, founder and President of Kaizen Consulting. For the last 13 plus years we've worked with owners of small and mid-sized business to implement large-scale growth. We’ve helped hundreds of businesses grow to two, three, four – even five times their size – within two to three years.
I’ve pioneered a new style of business ownership that I call 21st Century Entrepreneurship. With this new approach I’ve demonstrated time and time again that business ownership doesn’t have to be a struggle. Remember the freedom, wealth and independence you imagined when you started your business? You can have it. You just need to tap into the wisdom of proven strategies, rather than learning by trial and error.
In the next while, you will receive articles that will cover the nitty gritty of how to grow a business quickly and how to achieve a better lifestyle for yourself as you do it – and by that I mean: more personal freedom, more time-off. These articles will give you the specifics: the ‘how’ of growing a business. They’ll cover a range of strategic topics like goal-setting and values, flow of operations, processes and systems, sales and marketing, and hiring and managing people.
I can hear you saying, “This sounds promising but I’ve heard claims like this before…what makes the Kaizen approach different?”
I think it’s best to hear the answer to that question directly from Kaizen customers:
We’re now structured to succeed. We’ve grown our business 250% in 5 years. And, we recently ranked #1 on the list of the best places to work in Canada.
I take more vacations. I constantly remind myself of what Michael says: ‘You want your business working for you, you don’t want to be a slave to your business.’
Michael has clarity. He could see where the problems were for us. He knew we had no structure for growth. He doesn’t mince words or beat around the bush. He can deliver a message that’s hard to take. For us – that restructuring was huge. We wouldn’t have grown without it.”

We went from being a small regional manufacturer to a global company with 2 plants in Alberta, 4 in southern China; and sales and distribution in 26 countries. Here’s where the rubber hits the road: some consultants talk a good game but they don’t have the capacity to help you implement change. Michael cuts to the chase and sees you through the change.”
